8" Companion Wrench Bent Unbraced

It's always fun to get together with other like-minded folks because they always bring out the best in you and cause you to push yourself harder than you normally would. When they believe in you, it's hard not to believe in yourself and dig deeper. The Bible describes it as "iron sharpens iron..."
This is a bend I did this weekend when Chris Rider and I were goofing off the night before the show in Winston Salem: this is an 8" Companion Wrench I bent UNBRACED at chest level. I'd thought about trying this for awhile now, and this weekend I went for it and I'm pretty happy with the result.
Wrenches that bend on the end are really tough, aka "end bender's" as Pop (Dennis Rogers) calls them, and they are even more heinous when they are bent unbraced...yuck. Chris witnessed the bend, so he got to keep the wrench. Thanks Chris for all the encouragement.
Moving forward--Mac

Weekend R and R

Let me tell you, this past weekend was anything but restful or relaxing. Grand Master Strongman Dennis Rogers and Chris Rider came to town for a visit and to perform at a church in Winston Salem. Sharing the stage with those two beasts is always exciting because you know you're going to see some crazy feats of strength that you'll be telling your grand kids about for years to come. They sure didn't disappoint and I hit a few PR's over the weekend that I was happy with too. Chris and I were up until 1:30 am, messing around bending stuff and having fun the night before the performance...and I've been paying for it all week :)

Greater Baltimore Phonebook Tear
Hadn't torn any phonebooks in awhile, so I decided to knock the rust off this evening.
Lord's really blessed me this summer, sad to see it ending. He's blessed my finances, my family, and my strength, despite having a injury that's had me on the bleachers for about a month and a half. Even though I haven't been able to do as much as I'd like with horseshoes and braced bends, my short bending, card tearing, phonebook tearing, and all my lifts have really taken off. Some things didn't work out quite like I'd hoped, but I can honestly look back and say it's all been for the best. His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8) but all things have worked together for good (Romans 8:28)
